Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, blending just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips, crushed candy canes, and white chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop balls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are still soft.
- While the cookies are warm, gently press snowflake sprinkles onto each one.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Ensure the butter is at room temperature for optimal creaming. For added flavor, consider adding a pinch of peppermint extract or chilling the dough for 30 minutes before baking. For a fun twist, swap some chocolate chips for caramel chips.
