Method
Preparation
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in 30-second bursts, stirring well between each interval until smooth and glossy.
- Optional: Mix in some green food coloring into the melted chocolate.
Shaping
- Dip a mini pretzel twist into the melted white chocolate, coating one half, and place it on the prepared baking sheet with the chocolate side facing down.
- Repeat the process until you have shaped the trees you want, using two pretzels for each tree.
- Insert a pretzel stick at the base of your trees to create a trunk.
Decoration
- While the chocolate is still soft, sprinkle on your decorations like sprinkles or mini candies to create ornaments.
Setting
- Allow the trees to set for about 15-20 minutes at room temperature, or place them in the fridge to speed up the process.
Serving
- Once set, serve and enjoy your festive creations!
Notes
Melt chocolate carefully to avoid burning. Use a toothpick to place smaller candies with finesse. Consider making a double batch for sharing!
