Method
Prepare the Dough
- In a bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Allow it to sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and salt until well combined.
- Pour the yeast mixture into the dry ingredients, then add the melted butter and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Assemble the Rolls
- Once risen, roll the dough into a large rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread the melted white chocolate evenly over the dough.
- In a separate bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle it over the chocolate. Add the chopped pistachios.
- Roll the dough tightly from one side to the other, forming a log. Slice into rolls about 1 to 2 inches wide.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Bake the Rolls
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Tips: Ensure your yeast is fresh and your milk is warm but not hot. Optional extras include vanilla or almond extract. Use dental floss for clean slicing.
