Preparation
- Wash the watermelon under cold running water to remove any dirt or pesticides.
- Cut the watermelon in half lengthwise.
- Scoop out the watermelon flesh from both halves and save it in a bowl.
- Smooth the inside of your watermelon bowls with a spoon for a neat appearance.
- Pat the inside of the watermelon shells dry with paper towels.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the watermelon flavored gelatin with boiling water and stir until dissolved.
- Stir in cold water to cool the mixture.
- Optional: Mix in gummy candies for added texture.
- Carefully pour the gelatin mixture into the watermelon halves.
- Refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Check if the gelatin is firm and fully set before serving.
- Cut into wedges for easier serving, if desired.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves before serving.
- Serve and enjoy chilled!
Notes
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Freezing is not recommended.
