Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, draining any excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder until fully combined.
  4. Add the bread cubes, cooked ground beef, and half of the cheese to the egg mixture and stir to blend.
Baking
  1. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  2. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  3. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  4. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, sauté diced onion or bell pepper with the ground beef. Use leftover or stale bread for this recipe and consider adding red pepper flakes for some spice. Drizzle extra maple syrup on top for sweetness.
