- Heat a large skillet over medium heat, then add your ground beef. Cook until it’s mostly browned.
- Toss in the chopped onions and bell peppers right into the skillet. Let them soften for about 5-10 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, being careful not to let it burn.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, beef broth, diced tomatoes, and uncooked rice.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then cover, reduce to a simmer, and let it cook for 20 minutes, stirring midway.
- Remove the lid, stir in half of your mozzarella and cheddar cheeses until melted.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover, and allow it to melt gently or place under the broiler for a quick melt.
Serving
- Serve immediately while it’s hot and gooey.

For healthier alternatives, consider using lean ground turkey, cauliflower rice, or adding more vegetables like zucchini. Avoid overbaking to maintain texture.
