For the pudding layers
  • 1 box Chocolate Pudding Mix Rich and velvety, can also use homemade pudding.
  • 2 cups Cold Milk Opt for very cold milk for smoother texture.
  • 1 container Whipped Topping (e.g., Cool Whip) Dairy-free alternatives can be used to make it vegan.
For the layers and decoration
  • 1 package Oreo Cookies Can substitute with gluten-free chocolate sandwich cookies.
  • 1 package Shortbread Cookies Baking from scratch adds personal touch.
  • 1 bottle Black Food Coloring For a spooky appearance.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mix the chocolate pudding mix with cold milk in a large mixing bowl using an electric mixer until silky smooth.
  2. Set aside the pudding to thicken and crush the Oreo cookies into crumbs in a sturdy plastic bag.
Layering
  1. Grab your serving cups and layer a generous dollop of chocolate pudding at the bottom of each cup.
  2. Sprinkle crushed Oreo cookies over the pudding for added texture.
  3. Add another layer of pudding followed by more Oreo crumbles.
  4. Top with whipped topping resembling grave mounds and sprinkle with black food coloring.
  5. Crumble shortbread cookies on top to resemble tombstones and optionally add edible decorations.
Chilling
  1. Cover each cup with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Notes

Chill your serving cups before use for an extra refreshing experience. Use a piping bag for layering whipped topping for a neat look.
