  • 1 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
  • 1/2 cup artichoke hearts, chopped (optional) Optional for extra flavor
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Should be at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup tangy sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Gooey and melted
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese For a rich flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder For aromatic touch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt To enhance the taste
Wrapping and Frying
  • as needed Egg roll wrappers or wonton wrappers For wrapping
  • as needed cup Vegetable oil For frying until crispy
  • as needed Ranch or marinara sauce For dipping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  2. Add thawed spinach and artichoke hearts (if using) and mix until well combined.
  3. Incorporate mozzarella cheese, Parmesan, garlic powder, and salt, stirring until evenly distributed.
Wrapping
  1. Lay out egg roll or wonton wrappers with one corner pointing toward you.
  2. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the spinach dip mixture into the center of each wrapper.
  3. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll up tightly.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Fry the wrapped sticks in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Remove the sticks from the oil and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

Notes

For extra cheesiness, add more mozzarella. Use crushed red pepper flakes or fresh herbs for added flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
