Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour Soft and fluffy, this is the base for your cookie dough.
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda This will give your cookies the perfect rise.
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt A vital touch to enhance all the flavors.
Wet Ingredients
  • 0.75 cups unsalted butter, softened This adds moisture and richness.
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar For a touch of sweetness and a crisp texture.
  • 1 cups brown sugar, packed This brings a deliciously chewy consistency and a hint of caramel.
  • 2 large eggs Essential for binding the ingredients together.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract For that irresistible flavor.
Add-ins
  • 1 cups M&M candies These colorful treats add fun and a sweet crunch.
  • 1 cups chocolate chips Because you can never have too much chocolate!

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to over-mix.
  6. Gently fold in the M&Ms and chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden brown and centers look soft.
  2. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For added flavor depth, consider chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. Using parchment paper ensures easy removal and cleanup. Don't over-bake to maintain perfect softness.
