Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cloves, and salt.
- In a larger bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter and packed brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing gently just until combined.
- Chill the dough in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls and coat each one in granulated sugar.
- Place the sugared dough balls on the baking sheets, flattening each slightly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are firm. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
