Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain any excessive fat.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning according to package instructions to fully infuse the spices into the meat.
  3. Layer half of the frozen hash browns in the bottom of your slow cooker. Add half of the cooked beef mixture followed by half of the salsa. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used.
  4. Generously sprinkle the shredded cheese on the final layer.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours until heated through and the cheese is melted.
  6. Serve portions topped with a dollop of sour cream.

Notes

Consider adding bell peppers or corn for extra veggies. Adjust spice levels with jalapeños or chili powder. Swap regular cheese for smoked cheddar for a smoky flavor.
