Preparation
  1. Start by arranging the cucumber slices in a pointed, Christmas tree shape on a large, festive platter.
  2. Layer the cooked shrimp around the cucumber, beginning at the bottom and working your way up.
  3. Lightly spread cream cheese or your preferred spread at the base or around the tree.
  4. For the tree trunk, place an avocado slice or more cucumber slices right at the very bottom of the arrangement.
  5. Complete your holiday masterpiece by placing cherry tomatoes atop the shrimp or embellishing with sprigs of parsley or dill.
  6. Serve with crackers or slices of baguette on the side.

Notes

Use freshly cooked shrimp for best flavor. Experiment with various spreads and additional vegetables for color.
