  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour For structure and texture.

  • 2-3 tbsp water To bind the ingredients.
  • oil or ghee oil or ghee for frying Preferred oil for a crispy finish.
Syrup Ingredients
  • 1 cup granulated sugar For sweet syrup.
  • 1/2 cup water To mix with sugar.
  • 4 pods crushed cardamom For aroma.
  • saffron strands saffron strands (optional) For luxurious touch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk powder, all-purpose flour, and baking soda.
  2. Gradually add water while kneading the mixture until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls, ensuring there are no cracks on the surfaces.
Syrup Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, boil the sugar and water together with the crushed cardamom. Stir until the mixture thickens.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil or ghee in a frying pan over medium-low heat.
  2. Carefully drop the dough balls into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, approximately 8 minutes.
  3. Transfer the fried dumplings into the warm syrup and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.

Notes

Consider infusing the syrup with rose water for added flavor. Keep the dumplings warm when serving for the best taste. For a crunchier exterior, ensure the oil is properly heated before frying.
