  • 1 box (3 oz.) Cherry Jell-o A bold, red treat that adds a tangy sweetness.
For Topping
  • 1 tub (8 oz.) whipped topping (thawed) Creamy and airy, it blankets the cake indulgently.
  • Optional: red & blue food coloring For an added pop of color.
  • Patriotic sprinkles For a fun decoration.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the white cake mix box.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix with the required ingredients, mixing until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking pan and spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Place the pan into the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cooling
  1. Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool completely in the pan.
Poking Holes
  1. Once cooled, poke holes all over the surface of the cake using a straw or wooden spoon handle.
Preparing Jell-o
  1. Prepare the Berry Blue Jell-o and Cherry Jell-o in separate bowls according to package instructions, using slightly less cold water.
Adding Jell-o
  1. Pour the blue Jell-o over one half of the cake and the cherry Jell-o over the other half.
Setting
  1. Refrigerate the cake for at least 3-4 hours, or overnight.
Topping
  1. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the cake.
