Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup salted butter Provides a rich, buttery flavor.
  • 20 ounces mini marshmallows (2 x 10-oz bags) The key ingredient for that gooey sweetness.
  • 14 cups unflavored popcorn, kernels removed The crunchy base of your cake.
  • 2 cups plain M&Ms Adds color and a chocolaty bite.
Optional Additions
  • 1/2 cup crushed pretzels For a salty crunch.
  • 1/2 cup mini peanut butter cups To enhance flavor.
  • 1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles For added festivity.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts For extra texture.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by lightly spraying a 10-cup Bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, add the butter and marshmallows. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring after each time until the mixture is smooth and melted. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
  3. In a large bowl, place the popcorn. Carefully pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the popcorn and gently stir to ensure that all the popcorn is evenly coated.
  4. Fold in the M&Ms, being careful not to stir too vigorously to keep the colors from bleeding into the marshmallow mixture.
  5. Scoop the coated popcorn into the prepared Bundt pan and press down lightly to compact the mixture.
  6. Allow the cake to rest at room temperature for about 2 hours or until it firms up. Once set, invert it onto a serving plate.
  7. Slice the cake into 12 pieces and enjoy this delightful treat!

Notes

To enhance the cake, consider adding themed sprinkles or mixing in crunchy elements like pretzels or nuts. Allow ample time to set for the best slicing results.
