Ingredients

  • 8 small small flour or corn tortillas, cut into triangle wedges
  • ¾ cup marinara or pizza sauce for a tangy base
Cheeses
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese offering stretchiness and gooeyness
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese contributing a sharp and savory note
Toppings
  • 30-40 slices mini pepperoni slices for classic pizza flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning for an herbal twist
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder to elevate the flavor
  • as needed Olive oil spray or brush for a golden finish
  • optional chopped parsley for a fresh garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut your tortillas into triangle wedges and arrange them in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Lightly brush or spray the chips with olive oil and then sprinkle them generously with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  4. Spread a small amount of marinara sauce on each tortilla chip, enough to give flavor without making them soggy.
  5. Top your chips evenly with shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
  6. Add 2-3 mini pepperoni slices to each chip.
Baking
  1. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges of the chips are golden brown.
  2. If desired, garnish with chopped parsley and serve while warm.

Notes

Use different tortillas for varied flavor and texture. Customize your toppings with vegetables or different sauces. For a healthier option, use reduced-fat cheese and whole grain tortillas.
