  • 12 oz white chocolate chips Creates a creamy layer that balances the darker chocolate.

  • ½ cup crushed peppermint candies Adds a delightful crunch and festive appearance.
  • 1 tsp coconut oil (optional) Gives the white chocolate a smoother texture.
  • to taste holiday sprinkles (optional) For an extra festive touch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
Melting Chocolate
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth.
  2. Stir in the peppermint extract.
Layering
  1. Pour the melted dark chocolate into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Chill for about 15 minutes to set.
  2. Melt the white chocolate using the same method and mix in coconut oil if desired.
  3. Pour the white chocolate over the set dark chocolate and spread gently.
Toppings and Final Chill
  1. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies over the white chocolate layer and add holiday sprinkles if desired.
  2. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or until fully set.
Serving
  1. Once set, lift the bark out of the pan using the edges of the parchment paper. Slice into squares or break into shards.

Notes

Use quality chocolate chips for richer flavor. Allow melted chocolate to cool slightly before pouring to avoid melting layers. Customize toppings and adjust peppermint extract to taste.
