Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine eggs, melted butter, corn syrup, vanilla extract, brown sugar, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. Spread the dry yellow cake mix evenly in the baking dish to create a base.
  4. Pour the wet mixture evenly over the cake mix, ensuring it soaks through.
  5. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top of the cake mixture evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Optionally serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

For a healthier version, use sugar substitutes and dairy-free alternatives. Store leftovers in an airtight container, and reheat in the microwave.
