Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced pears with 1/2 cup of brown sugar and cinnamon. Toss until well coated, then spread evenly in a greased baking dish.
Making the Topping
  1. In another bowl, mix flour, rolled oats, remaining brown sugar, salt, and nutmeg.
  2. Pour in melted butter and stir until the mixture is crumbly.
Assembling and Baking
  1. Evenly sprinkle the oat mixture over the prepared pears.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the pear juices are bubbling.
