Ingredients

Meringue Base
  • 4 large large egg whites Ensure they are at room temperature for best results.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Creates a crunchy exterior.
  • 1 tsp white vinegar Helps stabilize the egg whites.
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract Adds flavor to the meringue.
Topping
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream Provides a rich contrast to the meringue.
  • 2 cups mixed fresh fruits Use a colorful mix of berries, kiwis, and pomegranates.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean mixing bowl, whip the room-temperature egg whites with an electric mixer until frothy.
  3. Gradually add the granulated sugar while continuing to whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  4. Carefully fold in the white vinegar and vanilla extract with a spatula.
  5. Spoon the meringue onto the prepared baking tray, shaping it into a wreath with an inner hollow center.
Baking
  1. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. The meringue should be dry to the touch.
  2. Turn off the oven and let the meringue cool slowly inside to prevent cracking.
Topping and Serving
  1. While the meringue cools, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  2. Once the meringue is completely cooled, spread the whipped cream over it and adorn with mixed fresh fruits.

Notes

Make sure bowls are clean and avoid humidity when making meringue. Consider adding almond extract for a flavor twist, and use a piping bag for decorating with whipped cream.
