Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes if using, and baking powder. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter and egg until blended. If using fresh parsley, add it here.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms, adding flour if too sticky.
- Form the dough into balls about 1 inch in diameter and place on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and firm to touch.
- Allow them to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
- Serve warm for the best flavor.
