Nutella Stuffed Donuts

Ingredients
  

Donut Base
  • 3 cups All-purpose flour Store-brand works fine.
  • 1/2 cup Sugar Plain sugar.
  • 1 packet Yeast Use a standard packet.
  • 1 tsp Salt Small pinch.
  • 1 cup Milk Whole milk is preferred.
  • 1/4 cup Butter Melted for flavor.
  • 2 large Eggs Room temp if possible.
Filling & Frying
  • 1 cup Nutella Use as much as desired.
  • for frying amount Oil Plenty of oil needed for frying.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Warm the milk and melt the butter, then combine with the eggs and mix until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth. Place in a covered bowl to rise for at least an hour.
  4. Punch down the risen dough and roll out to cut into circles.
  5. Allow the circles to rise again before frying in preheated oil until golden brown.
  6. Cool slightly then use a piping bag to fill each donut with Nutella.
  7. Optionally, roll the filled donuts in sugar before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Warm in the microwave before eating. Can be frozen before stuffing.
