Preparation
- Mix the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
- Warm the milk and melt the butter, then combine with the eggs and mix until a sticky dough forms.
- Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth. Place in a covered bowl to rise for at least an hour.
- Punch down the risen dough and roll out to cut into circles.
- Allow the circles to rise again before frying in preheated oil until golden brown.
- Cool slightly then use a piping bag to fill each donut with Nutella.
- Optionally, roll the filled donuts in sugar before serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Warm in the microwave before eating. Can be frozen before stuffing.
