Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh mushrooms, chopped the earthy richness brings depth
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened for that smooth, creamy base
  • 1/2 cup sour cream to add a tangy twist
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese brings a sharp, nutty flavor
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese for that gooey, melty goodness
  • 2 tablespoons butter to sauté with love
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced infusing fragrant warmth
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried; for an herbal note
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley for a vibrant finish
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper for a hint of spice
  • Crusty bread, crackers, or vegetables for dipping the vehicle for all that cheesy goodness

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a small baking dish to prevent any stickiness.
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Sauté the chopped mushrooms and minced garlic for about 5-7 minutes until they’re soft and fragrant.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded Parmesan, and mozzarella. Stir until it’s delightfully smooth and creamy.
  4. Fold in the cooked mushrooms along with thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture into your prepared baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes, until it’s golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Once out of the oven, garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot alongside crusty bread, crackers, or fresh veggies.

Notes

For an extra kick, sprinkle some red pepper flakes into the mushroom mixture before baking. You can substitute spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for added flavor.
