For the Streusel

For the Cream Cheese Filling

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch bundt pan or a round springform pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract and sour cream until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just incorporated.
Streusel Preparation
  1. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, ground cinnamon, chopped nuts, and melted butter. Mix until evenly coated and crumbly.
Layering and Baking
  1. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, then sprinkle half of the streusel mixture over the top.
  2. Optionally spread the cream cheese filling over this layer, then add the remaining cake batter and finish with the remaining streusel.
  3. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before carefully removing it.
Finishing Touches
