Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, garlic powder, parsley (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Carefully slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, ensuring the top and bottom remain attached.
- Spread a generous amount of the butter mixture onto the cut side of each roll.
- Place a slice of cheddar cheese on the bottom half of each roll.
- Put the top half back on the rolls, pressing down gently to create a mini sandwich.
- Arrange the filled rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush any remaining butter mixture on top of the rolls.
Baking
- Cover the baking sheet with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Leftover rolls can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days in the refrigerator or frozen for a month. Reheat in the oven for best results.
