Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Without separating them, slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally.
- Spread softened butter on the cut sides of both the top and bottom halves of the rolls.
- Sprinkle garlic powder over the buttered rolls if desired.
- Distribute the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses evenly over the bottom half.
- Carefully place the top half of the rolls back onto the cheesy bottom half.
- Wrap the entire sandwich in aluminum foil.
Baking
- Place the wrapped rolls in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Unwrap the foil to achieve a golden crust and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
- Once done, remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, then slice into smaller portions.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality cheese. Consider adding tomatoes or bacon bits for extra flavor. Keep an eye on the rolls near the end of baking to prevent over-browning.
