Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and mini chocolate chips.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers remain soft.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
For the Glaze
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Once the cookies are completely cool, drizzle the glaze over the tops.

Notes

Make sure your butter is softened, not melted. Chill the dough for about an hour for better flavor and less spreading. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
