For the Glaze

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, vanilla protein powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, honey (or maple syrup), applesauce, lemon juice, and lemon zest.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients until well combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold about 3/4 full.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Allow donuts to cool before glazing.
Glazing
  1. Mix powdered sugar with lemon juice until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled donuts.
