Main Ingredients
  • 1 package Crescent Roll Dough Sheets Flaky, buttery sheets that promise an irresistible crunch.
  • 1 pound Kielbasa or Smoked Sausages Juicy and flavorful, providing a robust backbone.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Rich, melting cheese that adds a creamy texture.
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese Creamy and tangy, offering a sumptuous layer.
Glaze and Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Melted butter enhances richness.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard Adds a sharp and zesty punch.
  • 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar Balances the savory elements perfectly.
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce Adds umami depth.
  • 1 tablespoon Poppy Seeds Provides crunch and a hint of earthiness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough sheets and pinch the seams together, shaping it into a large rectangle.
  3. Sprinkle the shredded cheese along one edge of the rolled-out dough.
  4. Lay a sausage link atop the cheese and roll it up tightly, sealing the seam well.
  5. For a creamy center, spread cream cheese on another sheet of dough before laying a sausage link on top and rolling it up.
  6. Slice the rolls into ¾-inch rounds and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
Glazing and Baking
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Brush the glaze over the rolls generously.
  3. Sprinkle the rolls with poppy seeds for crunch.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Serve with a variety of dipping sauces like honey mustard, ranch, or barbecue. Be sure to seal the dough properly to avoid leaks during baking.
