Preparation of Graham Cracker Layer
- In a medium bowl, mix together the crumbled graham crackers, melted butter, and brown sugar until it resembles wet sand.
Creation of Lime Filling
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
- Stir in the lime juice and lime zest.
Adding Whipped Cream
- Pour in the heavy cream and whip until it thickens slightly.
Layering the Trifles
- Place 2 tablespoons of the graham cracker mixture into the bottom of six 8 oz jars.
- Top with ¼ cup of the lime filling.
- Add another layer of the graham cracker mixture, then evenly distribute the remaining lime filling into the jars.
Chill and Garnish
- Chill the jars for 1 hour before serving.
- Garnish with lime slice, lime zest, and extra graham cracker crumbs before serving.
Notes
