Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Rinse the turkey breast under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, combine kosher salt and black pepper. Season the turkey breast inside and out.
- Melt the unsalted butter and mix in the minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Massage this mixture under the turkey skin.
Cooking
- Place the seasoned turkey breast in a roasting pan, bone-side down, and roast for about 1.5 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Once cooked, let the turkey rest for at least 20 minutes before carving. Slice against the grain and serve.
Notes
Consider brining the turkey breast overnight in a saltwater solution for extra flavor. You can also add citrus slices to the cavity for brightness.
