  • 1 package crescent roll dough The base of our twists, flaky and buttery.
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened Rich and creamy, lending a silky texture.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Sharp and tangy, adds delightful depth of flavor.
  • 2-3 pieces jalapeños, diced (seeds removed for less heat) Brings a bold kick and visual appeal.
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder Enhances the overall flavor profile.
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder Rounds out the filling for balanced taste.
  • optional to taste bacon bits Adds a smoky crunch, complements cheese and peppers.
  • 1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp water (for egg wash) Gives twists a golden, glossy finish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, shredded cheddar, diced jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, and bacon bits (if using).
  3. Roll out the crescent dough and cut into strips.
  4. Place a spoonful of the jalapeño mixture onto one end of each strip and roll it up tightly.
  5. Place the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the tops with the egg wash.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Ensure the dough is at room temperature for better pliability. A sharp knife or pizza cutter helps create even strips. Do not skimp on the egg wash for best appearance.
