- Pour in the marinara sauce and let simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Toasting and Assembling
- Split the sandwich buns and toast them lightly in the skillet or under a broiler.
- Spoon the beef mixture generously over the toasted bottom half of each bun.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the filling.
- Close the sandwich with the top bun and serve immediately.
