Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together.
- Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, about two inches apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Let cool for a few minutes on the cookie sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For the best results, use softened butter. Consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper or cinnamon for extra flavor. Experiment with different chocolate types for variety.
