Preparation
- Preheat your oven and bake the chocolate cupcakes according to package instructions. Once baked, allow them to cool completely.
Making the Frosting
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and powdered sugar until it reaches a fluffy consistency.
- Add in the vanilla extract and heavy cream, mixing until it's smooth and creamy.
Coloring the Frosting
- Divide the frosting into two separate bowls. Add green gel food coloring to one bowl, mixing until you achieve your desired shade of green.
Frosting the Cupcakes
- Using a star tip, pipe a white swirl on top of each cupcake as the base for your wreath.
- Next, take the green frosting and pipe it on top of the white swirl in the shape of a wreath.
Decorating
- Finish off your cupcakes by decorating with holiday sprinkles and placing a red fondant bow or candy on top of each wreath.
Chilling
- Allow your cupcakes to chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes, or serve immediately.
