Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy and pale (about 3-5 minutes).

  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, and salt until blended.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Make a small indentation in the center of each ball and spoon in about 1 teaspoon of your chosen fruit jam.
Baking
