- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Cook and break it up until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
- Transfer the cooked beef to a paper towel-lined plate and drain excess fat.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the chopped onions. Sauté for about 3 minutes.
- Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet and cook uncovered for about 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Once the cabbage is tender, stir in the garlic, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
- Pour in the beef broth and add the browned beef back to the pan. Mix thoroughly and heat through.
- Taste and season generously with salt and pepper, then serve with sour cream if desired.
Notes
For a healthier twist, substitute lean ground turkey or chicken for the beef. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
