Marination
- In a large bowl, combine the cubed sirloin steak with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly and allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Shrimp Preparation
- In a separate bowl, toss the peeled and deveined shrimp with a bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
Garlic Butter Sauce
- In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and stir gently for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley, lemon juice, and another pinch of salt.
Assembling the Skewers
- Thread the marinated steak and shrimp alternately onto skewers.
Grilling
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until shrimp is pink and steak is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
Serving
- Drizzle the warm garlic butter sauce over the skewers just before serving.
Notes
Consider adding bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, or red onion to your skewers. Marinate overnight for deeper flavor. A grill pan can be used if outdoor grilling isn't available.
