Preparation
  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat and coat with olive oil or cooking spray.
  2. Slice the onions into thick rings, about ½ inch thick.

Cooking
  1. Grill the onion rings for about 5-7 minutes until caramelized and charred.
  2. Grill the beef patties for 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and add cheese. Cook for another 4-5 minutes or until desired doneness.
