Preparation
- Cut the chicken into chunks and place in a bowl.
- Add Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, and oregano to the chicken and mix well. Marinate for at least 15 minutes if possible.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add marinated chicken to the pan and sear until golden (approximately 10 minutes), turning occasionally.
Assembling
- Warm the pita bread in the microwave or oven.
- Spread tzatziki on the warmed pita.
- Layer in cooked chicken, sliced onion or cucumber, and sprinkle with parsley or dill.
- Fold the pita and enjoy!
Notes
Leftovers can be stored separately. Best eaten within 2-3 days. Warm pita prevents splitting.
