Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, softened butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until the dough is smooth and well-combined.
  3. Press the dough evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan.
Filling & Baking
  1. In another bowl, toss the sliced apples with cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
  2. Arrange the spiced apple slices generously over the crust in the tart pan.
  3. Drizzle caramel sauce generously over the apples.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the apples are tender, and the crust turns a lovely golden brown.
  5. Allow the tart to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For an elevated version, consider adding a sprinkle of chopped nuts over the apples. You can also substitute some apple slices with pears for a flavor twist.
