Preparation

Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
Topping Preparation
- In a saucepan, combine brown sugar and heavy cream. Bring to a boil and simmer until thickened.
- Stir in shredded coconut, chopped pecans, salt, and a splash more of vanilla.
- Pour the topping over the cooled brownies and let set for 30 minutes.
Serving
- Lift brownies out of the pan, slice into squares, and serve warm with vanilla ice cream or drizzled with caramel.
