Garlic Butter and Toppings

Method
 

Activate the Yeast
  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
  1. Add melted butter, egg, and salt to the bubbly yeast mixture. Whisk until well combined.
Gradually Add the Flour
  1. Gradually incorporate the flour, about a cup at a time, mixing well until the dough comes together.
Knead the Dough
  1. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
First Rise
  1. Place the kneaded dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with plastic wrap or a towel, and let rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours until doubled in size.
Prepare the Garlic Butter
  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and then add the minced garlic, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir and set aside.
Prepare the Cheese Filling
  1. In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning together.
Punch Down the Dough
  1. Once risen, gently punch down the dough to release air.
Divide the Dough
  1. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and divide into 12 equal pieces.
Shape the Cheese Bombs
  1. Flatten each piece into a circle, add cheese filling in the center, and seal the edges.
Place on Baking Sheet
  1. Place sealed cheese bombs seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Second Rise
  1. Cover with a towel and let rise for another 20-30 minutes.
Preheat the Oven
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Brush with Garlic Butter
  1. Once risen, brush the tops of the cheese bombs with garlic butter.
Bake
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and the cheese filling is melted.
Cool Slightly and Serve
  1. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Serve warm.

Notes

Allow the dough to rise properly for soft and fluffy cheese bombs. Prepare the dough in advance and refrigerate after the first rise. Adjusting cheese types can add new flavors.
