Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing gently until just combined.
- In a fryer or deep pot, heat the oil to 375°F (190°C).
- If using a donut mold, fill it with the batter. Alternatively, transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe it into the hot oil.
Cooking
- Fry the donuts until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove them using a slotted spoon and let them drain on paper towels.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar using an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
- Once the donuts have cooled, fill them with the whipped cream using a piping bag.
Finishing Touches
- Gently dip the tops of each filled donut into the chocolate glaze.
- Allow the chocolate glaze to set for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Frying Temperature: Maintain the right temperature while frying; if too hot, the donuts may burn, if not hot enough, they’ll absorb too much oil. Feel free to experiment with different flavors in your cream filling.
