Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until smooth.
  3. Add the diced bread, cheese, bell peppers, onion, sausage or bacon, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is coated.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes, until set and golden brown on top.
  2. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, use stale bread and don’t skip the resting period after baking. Adjust seasoning before baking for optimal flavor.
