- Melt the chocolate chips by placing them in a microwave-safe bowl and heating them in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Once melted, stir in the nut butter until creamy and well-combined.
- Add honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and salt to the mix and stir until well combined.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the crispy rice cereal and pour the chocolate mixture over it. Gently fold together.
- Prepare a 9×9-inch baking dish lined with parchment paper. Pour and press the mixture into the dish evenly.
- Chill the dish in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours, or until firm.
- Once chilled, lift the bars out using parchment paper, cut them into squares, and serve.
Notes
For added texture, consider topping with mini chocolate chips or crushed nuts before chilling. You can also experiment with different nut butters or cereals to personalize your bars.
