  1. Gather all ingredients.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream and whole milk over low heat. Stir gently.
  3. Add granulated sugar and whisk until dissolved.
  4. In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let bloom for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Remove the cream mixture from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until melted.
  6. Mix in any additional flavoring (citrus zest, fruit puree).
  7. Cool slightly, pour into serving cups using a strainer.
  8. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. To serve, dip cups in warm water to loosen edges or serve directly in cups. Top with fresh berries or fruit sauce.
