Ingredients

For the Brownie Base
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Softened to create a rich base.
  • 1 1/2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips Melting into a gooey delight.
  • 1/2 cup White Sugar For that perfect sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar Adding a depth of flavor and moisture.
  • 3 pieces Eggs Essential for binding all of the ingredients together.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract Enhancing the chocolatey goodness.
  • 1 tsp Salt Balancing out the sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour Creating structure in the brownie.
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder Enriching the chocolate flavor.
  • 2 cups Oreos Crushed, for that iconic crunch and flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by melting the unsalted butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips together in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in short intervals and stirring until a smooth consistency is achieved.
  2. Once the chocolate mixture has cooled slightly, add the white sugar and brown sugar. Whisk them together until the sugars blend completely.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, and mix vigorously until combined and glossy.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture without overmixing.
  5. Stir in the crushed Oreos.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it.
  7. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth it out. Optionally, arrange some whole Oreos on top.
  8. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes, checking to pull them out when set but gooey in the center.
  9. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10-15 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

For fudgy brownies, consider underbaking slightly. Adding a pinch of espresso powder enhances the chocolate flavor without a coffee taste. Serve with powdered sugar or vanilla ice cream.
