Ingredients
  

Custard Base
  • 2 cups Full-fat Milk Rich and creamy base for custard.
  • 1/2 cup Sugar Balances flavors.
  • 1/4 cup Custard Powder Thickens the mixture.
  • 1 pinch Cardamom Powder Adds warmth and aroma.
Fruits & Toppings
  • 2 cups Chopped Seasonal Fruits Fruits like strawberries, mangoes, or apples.
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Nuts Provides crunch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all ingredients on your countertop.
  2. In a saucepan, pour 2 cups of full-fat milk and set over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup of custard powder with 2 tablespoons of cold milk to make a smooth paste.
Cooking
  1. Once the milk is warm, add in 1/2 cup of sugar and stir until dissolved.
  2. Gradually add the custard paste to the warm milk while whisking continuously to avoid lumps.
  3. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly for about 5-7 minutes or until it thickens.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in a pinch of cardamom powder.
Cooling & Serving
  1. Transfer custard to a bowl or individual cups and let cool to room temperature.
  2. Prepare and chop your chosen seasonal fruits.
  3. Layer the chopped fruits on top of the cooled custard or fold them in for a marbled effect.
  4. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top before serving.
  5. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For richer flavor, infuse the milk with vanilla. You can use a variety of seasonal fruits to enhance flavors. For a vegan version, substitute milk with oat or almond milk.
