  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder Leavening agent.
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda Works with baking powder for perfect rise.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.
  • 1/4 cup almond milk Provides required liquid.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Infuses rich flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, cocoa powder, protein powder, honey, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Gradually mix in the almond milk and vanilla extract until smooth. The batter should be thick but pourable.
  4. Pour the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity about 3/4 full.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Let the donuts cool for a few minutes before removing them from the pan.
  3. Dip each donut in creamy protein frosting before serving.

Notes

Use fresh pumpkin puree for a better flavor. Optional: Sprinkle nuts or chocolate chips into the batter for added texture. These can also be made in muffin tins.
